Due to pressure from the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the leaders of 17 deoccupied communities in the region submitted resignation letters.
This was told in an interview with MOST by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
“Everyone said: “How are we supposed to work here? We don’t have a single procurement without a criminal case”, – said the head of the RMA, commenting on the pressure on the communities.
He said that he wrote letters to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Ruslan Kravchenko, about problems that affect the functioning of the communities. According to him, the regional prosecutor’s office is massively registering criminal proceedings without having any evidence of wrongdoing.
“We haven’t even built the Security Centers yet, but there are already criminal proceedings against the projects. We haven’t done anything yet”, – said Prokudin.
According to the official, investigators from the regional prosecutor’s office registered proceedings because of the mere existence of construction plans, citing misuse of funds.
According to Oleksandr Prokudin, such a situation arose because of the personal dislike of the head of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Serhii Hrytsenko, towards him.
“It gets to the point that meetings in the prosecutor’s office begin not with murders, not with collaborators, but with “what about Prokudin’s cases?” That’s how the question is posed. Therefore, it seems prosecutors have no one else to occupy themselves with, except “chasing after” my employees. Especially those starostas, the heads of local administrations”, – explained Prokudin.
