In Kherson, a comprehensive program to support war veterans and members of their families for 2026–2028 has been approved.
The corresponding order was signed by the head of the Kherson MVA, Yaroslav Shanko.
The total amount of funding for the program over three years is more than 64.2 million hryvnias.
The support system envisages the provision of targeted financial assistance and compensations across several areas. In particular, monthly fuel payments have been introduced for persons with special merits to the Motherland, provided that supporting documents for expenses are submitted.
Some items of the program concern annual assistance to World War II veterans and regular payments to families of those killed during the ATO/JFO and the full-scale invasion.
It also provides one-time support for persons who were forcibly deprived of their liberty as a result of armed aggression.
In addition, the city authorities plan to provide veterans with sanatorium-resort treatment and assistance with prosthetics.
Earlier MOST wrote that the Kherson MVA wants to develop a program to support young medical workers.
