A serviceman of the 34th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade of the Marine Corps, Oleksandr Bukalov from the Kherson region, was awarded the Order “For Courage” III degree.
This was reported on the brigade’s Facebook page.
“This is recognition of his decisive actions, resilience and the work that helps destroy the Russian occupier and protect his comrades every day,” — the post reads.

Oleksandr Bukalov was born in Kazakhstan, from where he moved to Kherson. In Kherson he became a fan of the football club “Kristal”. He was an active member of the local branch of the All-Ukrainian Union “Svoboda”.
In 2015 he was elected a deputy of the Suvorov District Council and even could have headed it.
In 2017 he took charge of the “Kristal” stadium and was involved in the renovation of the partially destroyed sports arena.
In February 2022 he joined the Kherson territorial defense and took part in the attempt to defend the city from the Russians.
Oleksandr fought as part of the 22nd Separate Mechanized Brigade in Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv and Kursk regions. He currently serves as a gun commander in the artillery division of the 34th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade of the Marine Corps.
