Ukrzaliznytsia launches the festive “Magic Express” — retro trains pulled by steam locomotives, which will run in Kyiv and Lviv on December 5, 6 and 7. The main passengers this year are children from frontline communities, including the Kherson, Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as children of railway workers.
This is stated on Ukrzaliznytsia’s page.
Families from these regions can travel to Kyiv or Lviv for free under the “3000 km Across Ukraine” program and receive free tickets for the “Magic Express”.
“Magic Express” will run on December 5 at 14:00 and 17:00, and on December 6 and 7 at 10:00 and 13:00.
The journey will last up to 2 hours. The train includes children’s carriages.
The event is organized with the support of the Howard Buffett Foundation and Nova Ukraine, the post says.
