Investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region have announced suspicion against Kherson resident Olena Pivorovych, who provided the Russians with coordinates of critical infrastructure facilities and the locations and movements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kherson and Mykolaiv.
This is stated on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, in 2023 Pivorovych began contacting a representative of the Russian FSB, named Artem (call sign Starina), and agreed to help Russia adjust shelling.
Thus, from July 2023 to September 2024 she provided information and coordinates of the territory of the Institute of Irrigated Agriculture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences (NAAS) in the settlement of Naddnipryanske in the Kherson region, the coordinates of a military unit near the village of Chornobaivka, the coordinates of Shevchenko Park in Kherson, the children’s tuberculosis sanatorium “Dubky” in Mykolaiv, the territory of the Sandora LLC plant VK No.2 in Mykolaiv Oblast, the Bunge plant, as well as “Port San Trade” and the “Chaika” sanatorium in Mykolaiv.
According to the case materials, based on the transmitted coordinates the Russian military carried out strikes on civilian objects and locations where units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine were deployed. As a result of these strikes property was damaged and harm was caused to people’s lives and health.
For this Olena Pivorovych is suspected under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – high treason.
She faces imprisonment for a term from 15 years to life. The investigation is ongoing.
Note that, according to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, in the Kherson region suspicions of collaboration have already been received by 1,275 people. Among the suspects are so-called “spotters” – people who remained in the deoccupied territories and provide the Russians with information about the locations of Ukrainian troops.
