An informational stand was installed on Svobody Square in Kherson as part of the project “Kherson. Places of Memory”.
The stand tells the history of the location – in particular, it describes the rallies that Kherson residents held in March 2022.
The organizer of the project “Kherson. Places of Memory” is the Kherson Military Administration.

“We recreated the key locations of the defense and occupation of the Kherson region from the Russian invaders. The posts immerse readers in the terrible truth about the brutal fighting, occupation, destruction and pain inflicted by the enemy onslaught. The mission of the project is to preserve the memory of the victims of the Russian invasion and the heroic resistance of Ukrainians. The crimes of the barbaric occupiers committed on our native land must be seen by the whole world, without looking away,” reads the administration’s website.
Among the places of memory in Kherson is also Buzkovy Park, where territorial defense fighters were killed. In the region, such places included Posad-Pokrovskyi house of culture, the village of Chornobaivka, the Bilyaivskyi lyceum of the Novooleksandrivka community and the railway station of the Kalynivka community.
