The bridge in Chonhar was damaged again after a nighttime attack by Ukrainian UAVs.
This was reported by the occupying governor of Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo.
Traffic on the bridge is blocked, he added, and asked drivers “to use alternative routes via Armyansk and Perekop”.
Prior to this, Saldo reported that traffic across the Chonhar Strait, where the bridge deck had been damaged the day before as a result of a drone attack, was restored in reverse mode.
Recall, on the night of June 7 Ukrainian units struck the bridge in the Chonhar area on temporarily occupied territory. After that the occupiers temporarily closed traffic through the automobile checkpoint “Dzhankoy”.
According to the Ukrainian military, during the operation Fire Point systems and unmanned aerial vehicles “Begemot” were used.
The military note that the bridge in Chonhar is one of the key supply routes for Russian forces, ammunition, and fuel from temporarily occupied Crimea.
