The court delivered a verdict to a resident of the village of Sahaidachne (formerly Maksima Horkoho) Tetyana Tymoshenko, who participated in conducting the occupation referendum in the Kherson region.
This is reported on the website of the Judicial Authority.
As the investigation found, in September 2022 Tymoshenko agreed to join the illegal precinct election commission No. 808, which the occupiers established in the Beryslav district.
In this role, Tymoshenko directly participated in organizing and holding the fake referendum on Kherson Oblast’s secession from Ukraine and its annexation to the Russian Federation.
She, together with other members of the pseudo-commission, accompanied by armed Russian military personnel, went around the yards of local residents, distributed ballot papers and collected votes into the ballot box.
In September 2023 the woman was detained by Ukrainian law enforcement, and since then she has been in custody.
Having examined the evidence, the court found Tetyana Tymoshenko guilty of collaborationist activity (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
She was sentenced to 6 years in prison without confiscation of property.
Earlier we wrote that Kherson collaborator Volodymyr Saldo received another sentence. This time for the robbery of a bread products plant and the removal of thousands of tons of grain.
