The court delivered a verdict against Olena Lukashova, a participant in organizing an illegal referendum in the settlement of Kozatske. She was found guilty of collaborationist activity.
This is stated in the verdict of the Velyka Oleksandrivka District Court.
As the investigation found, during the occupation of the settlement of Kozatske in Kakhovka district Lukashova voluntarily joined the organization and conduct of a pseudo-referendum on the accession of the Kherson region to the Russian Federation.
From 23 to 27 September 2022 she went door-to-door on several streets of the settlement, forcing local residents to mark their ballots.
Witnesses told the court that Lukashova walked around the settlement under the escort of an armed Russian soldier with an automatic rifle. She behaved confidently and did not appear frightened.
Also, according to local residents, when they refused to vote, Lukashova said: “Everything with you is clear.”
To other fellow villagers she would simply enter the yard, give a ballot and wait until they dropped it into the ballot box.
Having examined the evidence, the court in absentia found Olena Lukashova guilty under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced her to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Half of an apartment and two vehicles — “KIA Sorento” and “GAZ 3302” — will be confiscated from her.
Earlier it was reported that the Novovorontsovka District Court in absentia found a Kakhovka resident Oleh Havryliuk guilty of collaborationist activity. He became a deputy of the occupation authorities from the Russian party “United Russia”.
