Residents of the village of Kostiantynivka say they have been living without electricity for about seven days. According to them, the restoration timelines keep changing: at first people were promised the power would be restored in a few days, but now they speak of possible repairs taking a month or longer.
A similar situation exists in the old part of Nova Kakhovka, where the power supply, according to local residents, has been absent since May 18. People report damage to a transformer, as well as a shortage of fuel to run generators and repair machinery.
Recall that gas stations in occupied Kherson region are experiencing a shortage of gasoline. And over the past two weeks the price of diesel fuel in the region has risen by as much as 20%.
Recently the occupiers explained the large-scale power outages by “bad weather”.
Recall that last year the occupation-appointed governor of Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo, promised to ensure “stable electricity supply” on the left bank of the region. The occupiers planned to replace worn power cables to “ensure a reliable delivery of electricity”, but problems with the power supply continue.
