A resident of Kakhovka district, Svitlana Myrnenko, was found guilty of collaborating with the occupying authorities during the holding of sham elections in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region.
This is stated in the court verdict.
The investigation established that in early September 2023 Myrnenko was in Kakhovka and Malokakhovka, where she voluntarily helped the occupiers organize the sham elections.
Myrnenko issued ballots, collected applications for inclusion in the voter lists, recorded those who voted, and urged people to participate in the sham elections.
The court found Svitlana Myrnenko guilty of collaborationist activity (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced her to 10 years of imprisonment.
The court also banned Myrnenko for 15 years from holding positions in state authorities, local self-government and from engaging in activities related to the electoral process, and ordered that all property belonging to her be confiscated.
Recall, the National Police of Ukraine reported suspicion against the woman in January 2024.
