Investigators of the National Police Department in Kherson region have announced suspicions against Crimean resident Oleksandr Ulizko and resident of the town Hola Prystan Serhii Buzukin. They are suspected of cooperating with Russian occupiers and of cruel treatment and torture of civilians.
This is reported on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, in July 2022 Ulizko and Buzukin, together with servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, illegally detained a resident of Hola Prystan.
Thus, during the detention Ulizko struck the man several times on the head, and then hit him in the abdomen with the butt of a rifle when he protested that Russian servicemen had killed his dog.
Then the man was taken to the territory of one of the farming enterprises and began to be interrogated. During the interrogation Ulizko tortured the detainee with electric shocks.
When the man did not provide the occupiers with information, Buzukin and Ulizko began to beat him until he lost consciousness.
After the interrogation and beating he was held for some time in a cell in unsanitary conditions without food or water.
Both are suspected under part 2 of Art. 28, part 1 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – cruel treatment of prisoners of war or the civilian population and committing a crime by prior conspiracy of a group of persons.
It should be noted that, according to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, in Kherson region suspicions of collaborationist activity have already been received by 1275 people. Among the suspects are so-called “spotters” – people who remained in the de-occupied territories and pass on information to the Russians about the location of Ukrainian troops.
