Investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine have reported a new charge against the former director of the lyceum in the village of Mykilske in Kherson region, Oksana Kryvenkova.
This was reported in a notice on the Office of the Prosecutor General’s website.
Kryvenkova already has a conviction for collaborationist activity, and is now accused of assisting the aggressor state.
Before the full-scale invasion, Kryvenkova managed the Mykilske Lyceum in the Dariivska community, and during the occupation of the right-bank part of Kherson region she voluntarily headed the seized educational institution and aided the integration of the Russian education system.
According to investigators, while in office she introduced Russian standards into the educational process, personally handled personnel selection, urged former colleagues to cooperate, and organized the removal of Ukrainian symbols and literature from classrooms.
In addition to administrative work, Kryvenkova took part in propaganda events: the ceremonial raising of the Russian flag to the Russian national anthem and receiving awards from the occupying authorities on “Teacher’s Day”.
Also, at her instruction the school held educational talks with students to build loyalty to the ideology of the Russian Federation, and the children themselves were offered “health-improvement” trips to occupied Crimea or Russia.
Oksana Kryvenkova is currently charged under Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation is ongoing.
