The Uzhhorod City District Court of Zakarpattia Oblast found 53-year-old Iryna Mykhalchenko guilty in absentia of collaborationist activities; in 2022 she became deputy head of the occupation administration of Hladkivka.
This was reported by “IRS-Pivden” citing the court verdict.

The court established that in June 2022 Mykhalchenko took a position in the occupation structure, at that time working as an inspector of the starosta district for military registration and community maintenance.
According to witnesses, she assisted Russian military personnel, threatened local residents and demanded that they follow her orders.
The court noted that Mykhalchenko compiled lists for so-called humanitarian aid and coal, housed Russian soldiers and FSB officers in the homes of residents who had left the occupation, maintained constant contact with occupation representatives, and during the pseudo-referendum in September 2022 campaigned for the “annexation” of Kherson Oblast to Russia. She also had access to lists of veterans and ATO participants, which she likely handed over to the occupation authorities. Witnesses described her as a supporter of pro-Russian views.
From a character reference attached to the case it is known that Mykhalchenko drank alcohol uncontrollably, improperly performed her official duties, and was not respected among local residents.
The court found her guilty of collaborationist activities (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and in absentia sentenced her to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property and a 13-year ban on holding positions in government bodies.
