The Sosnivskyi District Court in the city of Cherkasy has issued a verdict against the so-called deputy of the occupying minister of youth policy for Kherson Oblast, Polina Shcherbyna.
This is reported on the Unified State Register of Court Decisions website.
As the investigation established, in 2023 she voluntarily took the position of the so-called deputy minister of youth policy, where she worked until April 2025.
She participated in implementing youth policy according to the standards of the aggressor state, organized leisure activities and “the fostering of patriotism” among young people in favor of the Russian Federation, coordinated the activities of the occupying structures, took part in the preparation of documents, handled personnel issues, etc.
Law enforcement found documentary and video evidence of Shcherbyna’s work, and experts confirmed that it is indeed her in the propaganda video recordings.
The court in absentia found Polina Shcherbyna guilty of treason and sentenced her to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
