On the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region the Kalanchak butter plant was registered under Russian law.

The so-called LLC “Kalanchaksky Maslosyrzavod” was registered on December 12. The place of registration is listed as the settlement of Chaplynka.
The plant is reported to be managed by the Melitopol dairy plant, which the occupiers seized at the end of 2022. Previously the dairy plant belonged to the family of the Melitopol city council secretary Roman Romanov.
The owner of the Kalanchak plant is listed as another illegally created company “Farm Enterprise “Novo-Pavlovskoye”. The owner of this company is a Russian citizen Igor Bulatov.
According to the data of the business-connection system YouControl World, Bulatov owns more than ten companies and enterprises that are registered on the occupied Ukrainian territories, including in Crimea.
It should be noted that information that the occupiers had seized the Kalanchak butter plant appeared as early as 2023. At that time, occupation media reported on the resumption of the plant’s operation, which had ceased after the start of the full-scale invasion.
Before the occupation, the plant produced more than 25 varieties of dairy products under the trademark “Ruzha”. Since 2017 the enterprise has belonged to former deputy of the Kalanchak district council Lyudmyla Ruzhytska.
