Between January 26 — February 1, 2026, Russian forces carried out 1974 attacks on Kherson Oblast using FPV drones and unmanned aerial vehicles dropping explosives.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
According to him, 935 of these attacks were recorded directly within the territory of the Kherson community.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces during the specified period destroyed 1891 enemy drones, including 911 — within the Kherson community.
Overall, Ukrainian forces managed to neutralize 96% of the drones that were used by the enemy for attacks.
Recall that during January 2026, as a result of Russian shelling of the Kherson community 18 people were killed, and another 96 were wounded. Among the victims are five children.
Earlier it was reported that in Kherson Oblast the military identified 27 sites, on which mesh tunnels are being arranged, with a total length of 217 kilometers of roads.
In an interview with MOST the head of the Kherson MVA Yaroslav Shanko noted that in Kherson in 2026 they will continue and expand the work on installing anti-drone nets on the city’s streets.
