Investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation have announced suspicion against former employee of the Kherson pre-trial detention center Rostyslav Kulyk, who was employed by an illegally established body of the occupiers.
This is stated on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
The investigation established that before Russia’s full-scale invasion, Rostyslav Kulyk worked as a junior inspector of the regime and security department at the Kherson pre-trial detention center and held the special rank of warrant officer of the internal service.
During the occupation of Kherson, he agreed to a proposal from representatives of the occupying authorities and received the position of junior inspector of the first category of the duty service in the seized pre-trial detention center (SIZO).
He worked there from June 1 to November 11, 2022.
For this, Rostyslav Kulyk is suspected under two articles — ch. 7 art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — collaborationist activity, and ch. 2 art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — state treason.
