From the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, a group of children aged 2 to 17 was able to be returned to territory under Ukraine’s control.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
According to him, the children were under pressure from the occupation administration and experienced various forms of coercion and danger.
A 17-year-old young man, under the control of the occupiers, had to undergo military training: grenade throwing, training “in the trenches”, disassembling weapons.
11- and 9-year-old boys from first grade were forced to attend propaganda lessons several times a week. Parents were demanded to give money “for the needs of the Russian army”. When the family refused, the children were bullied and there were threats to remove the brothers from the family.
The mother of a 13-year-old girl was pressured to send the child to a Russian school, despite the fact that on the way to school the Russian military regularly carried out “drops” from drones. After the refusal, representatives of the so-called “military police” came to their house, accused the mother of “spotting” and threatened to take her “to the basement”.
Recall, last month we wrote that from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region to territory under Ukraine’s control returned three more children.
