Volodymyr Khorolskyi, a resident of the village of Mylove in the Beryslav district, has returned from Russian captivity. The man was held in captivity for more than three years.
This was reported by journalist Oleh Baturyn.
Volodymyr was detained by representatives of the Russian FSB on July 3, 2022 at his place of residence. According to his mother, Nataliya Khorolska, Russian military came to their house, conducted a search and checked mobile phones. After that, the man was led out of the building with a bag over his head, put into a car and taken away in an unknown direction.
The reason for the detention could have been Volodymyr’s participation in territorial defense training camps before the start of the full-scale invasion.
Recall that on February 5, 157 citizens returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity. Among them were servicemen and civilians. The same number of people were sent to Russia.
Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets noted that the peculiarity of the exchange was that 18 servicemen returned who had been sentenced by the Russians to long prison terms.
