During the most recent prisoner exchange, resident of the Beryslav community Denys Islamov was released. He spent more than two years in Russian captivity.
The Kherson Regional Military Administration reports this.
“The head of the Beryslav Military Civil Administration, Oleksandr Alchiiev, removed the banner with the portrait of the serviceman from the local Alley of Hope — a place where photographs of military personnel who are in captivity or are considered missing are displayed”, – the post says.
Throughout this time, the serviceman was awaited by his wife and two daughters.
Recall that on March 5 and 6, Ukraine and Russia carried out a two-day prisoner exchange, under which representatives of the Ground Forces, Air Assault Forces, Naval Forces, Territorial Defense Forces, Air Force, Unmanned Systems Forces, as well as servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service and the State Special Transport Service returned home.
