Two more children have been returned to Ukrainian-controlled territory from the temporarily occupied part of Kherson region.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
They are children aged 5 and 17. According to Prokudin, on the occupied territory they were subjected to pressure, humiliation and attempts at forced “re-education”, but they are now safe.
The return took place under the President of Ukraine’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative with the assistance of the charitable organization Save Ukraine.
The children are currently staying in Centers of Hope and Recovery, where they receive psychological support, help with documents, housing and necessary care.
According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration (RMA), since the beginning of 2026, 39 children from Kherson region have already been returned to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
Earlier it was reported that, in total, 731 children from temporarily occupied communities of Kherson region had been returned to Ukrainian-controlled territory. The number is currently increasing.
