Forester-soldier Volodymyr Holovanyuk, who took part in the battles on the left bank of the Kherson region, received the Order “For Courage”.
This was reported on the page of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” on Facecook.
Volodymyr Holovanyuk received the award for his participation in the battles near Krynyky in the Kherson region at the end of 2023 – the beginning of 2024.
“Then, as part of the 38th Separate Marine Brigade, Volodymyr and his comrades were among the first to cross the Dnipro and for many months held positions in the settlement. Despite the enemy’s numerical superiority, the marines carried out successful attacks in the rear of the Russian forces. The fighters endured brutal artillery shelling and street fighting, surviving under constant threat. Volodymyr Holovanyuk was wounded at that time, after which he was forced to demobilize”, – the post reads.
On December 6, the serviceman became a full recipient of the Order “For Courage”, having previously received the “For Courage” distinctions – Orders of the III and II degrees.
