Russian forces attacked a mobile Ukrposhta branch with a drone near the village of Shyroka Balka in the Kherson region; as a result of the strike the driver Oleksandr was wounded.
This was reported by Ukrposhta’s CEO Ihor Smiliansky.
“Thanks to the coordinated actions of the police, the military-civilian administration (VCA) and our team, he was promptly evacuated to the hospital. The body armor also helped, of course, and his life is not currently in danger,” Smiliansky wrote.
At the time of the attack the branch manager Lidiia was also in the vehicle; she was not injured.
Recall, today at the entrance to Beryslav Russian forces shelled a vehicle with humanitarian aid, which had been delivered by Swedish partners Svenskbyborna.
And on the morning of October 14 Russian forces with drones and artillery attacked UN humanitarian trucks in the Kherson region, as a result of which an Italian official was injured.
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sibiha called the attack by a Russian drone on the UN humanitarian convoy a gross violation of international law.
