The book by Oleksandr Moskalenko “Football of Velykooleksandrivshchyna” has been published, which covers the history of the development of this sport in the territory of the modern community from 1947 to 2025.

The author, in chronological order, highlighted the key stages of the formation of the football movement, starting from the successes of district teams in republican competitions of the 1950s to the activities of the sports societies “Kolhospnyk” and “Kolos”.
The book details the work of the Velykooleksandrivska DYuSSh, the participation of youth teams in the zonal tournaments of the 1980s, and the performances of amateur teams during Ukraine’s independence period. A separate chapter is devoted to the history of the creation and functioning of the district football federation, officially registered in 2003.
The publication also contains information about the community’s prominent athletes who represented Ukraine at the Olympic Games, world and European championships in other sports.
