According to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin, restoring the Kherson TPP in its current state – makes no sense.
He said this in an interview with Ukrinform.
“We need to decentralize heat supply, build small block-modular boiler houses, deploy them so they operate for a specific “Island”. My view: restoring the TPP in its current state makes no sense, it does not correspond to modern conditions, it remains a vulnerable object. There is no point in investing significant funds in one large facility – we will never be able to secure it with any protection, it is impossible”, – said Prokudin.
According to him, there are plans to install 59 modular boiler houses in various districts of the city, which will effectively replace the TPP and “Khersonteploenergo”.
“We now have 11 such boiler houses, recently we installed the last four. Gas savings – 50 percent or more. It is automated – it does not require constant human presence, everything is on tablets, phones, and if an error occurs, they come and fix it”, – said Prokudin.
It should be recalled that on December 4 last year, as a result of systematic Russian shelling, the Kherson TPP ceased operation. After that, more than 40,500 subscribers were left without heating.
According to the chairman of the board of NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” Serhiy Koretsky, by systematically shelling the TPP territory Russian forces want to deprive the possibility to restore the equipment of the station.
Recently, during a meeting of the NSDC of Ukraine, a plan was presented to Volodymyr Zelensky to prepare Kherson region for the next heating season.
