Rowers from Kherson region won two “golds” and three “silvers” at the Ukrainian Marathon Championship in memory of warrior-athlete Ihor Prysyazhnyuk.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
The canoe and kayak races concluded in Vinnytsia. Trainees from the specialized department of the Kherson Regional School of Higher Sports Mastery took part.
Olena Skvortsova won the gold medal in the К-1 discipline at the 26.2 km distance, as well as two “silvers” (in К-1 at 3.4 km and in the mixed ХК-1 relay at 4.2 km).
Oleksandr Syromyatnikov won “gold” in К-2 at the 29.8 km distance.
Mishel Fesun (reserve athlete) took “silver” in the mixed ХК-1 relay at the 4.2 km distance.
Another representative of the region, Inna Klinova, took sixth place in the К-1 discipline at the 3.4 km distance.
The athletes were trained by Honored Coaches of Ukraine Oleksandr Kolybelnikov, Ihor Nahaiev, Stanislav Boreyko, and coach Serhii Fesun.
