The Supreme Court of Russia upheld the unlawful verdict against a resident of the Kherson region, Oleksandr Kozhedub from Kherson Oblast, whom the occupiers found guilty of “state treason”.
Pro-Russian media report this.
The occupation court of first instance sentenced the man to 12 years in a maximum-security penal colony for allegedly systematically financially supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation saw no grounds to mitigate the punishment.
Previously we wrote that the occupation court in Henichesk sentenced a 47-year-old resident of Novooleksiivka, Eldar Karamurzaev, to eight years of imprisonment in a maximum-security colony in the so-called case of the Noman Chelebidzhikhan battalion.
