The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation rejected the cassation appeal of Kherson region resident Olga Hulchak, whom the occupiers unlawfully sentenced to 12 years in a penal colony under the article on “state treason”.
This was reported by pro-Russian media.
The woman was found guilty of allegedly transferring funds to the account of a Ukrainian citizen for financial support and needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The court of first instance sentenced the resident of Kherson region to 12 years imprisonment to be served in a general-regime penal colony.
The occupiers’ appellate instance also refused to grant the defense’s appeal, leaving in force the harsh verdict against the Ukrainian citizen. Now the highest judicial body of the Russian Federation has finally upheld this decision.
