An athlete from the Chornobaivska community, Mykola Vakhirovskyi, won a bronze medal at the Ukrainian weightlifting championship among boys and girls under 13.
This was reported by the Chornobaivska District State Administration.
The athlete competed in the over 65 kg weight category and finished third in the two-lift total.
Results of Mykola Vakhirovskyi:
- snatch — 73 kg;
- clean and jerk — 82 kg;
- two-lift total — 155 kg (third place).
The athlete is coached by Anatoliy Bazilyuk.
Earlier it was reported that two “golds” and three “silvers” were won by rowers from the Kherson region at the Ukrainian Championship in the marathon in memory of warrior-athlete Ihor Prysyazhnyuk.
