In the temporarily occupied city of Oleshky on the left bank of Kherson region, despite the humanitarian catastrophe, more than 8,000 people live there.
This was reported on air by the deputy head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Tolokonnikov.
“People are simply being starved. They are not allowed to bring in food. A large number of people remain there – more than 8 thousand. People cannot leave, and living there is also impossible”, – said the official.
According to him, local entrepreneurs sometimes manage to deliver food to the city, but the occupation authorities cannot organize any supplies.
Note that the critical humanitarian situation in Oleshky has been observed for more than a month. The road to the city poses a deadly danger – the routes are mined, drones are operating, and metal spikes are scattered on the roadway.
However, the local illegal authorities claim that there are no evacuation measures for the population in the city.
