Another case of illegal adoption of a Ukrainian child has been recorded in occupied Henichesk.
Pro-Russian media report the adoption.
The occupation administration of Henichesk publicly reported the transfer of a newborn child to a «new family». The event took place at the Henichesk Central District Hospital with the personal participation of the so-called head of the district, Yuliia Semyakina.
According to the occupiers, the infant was left without the care of its biological mother. The «adoption» procedure took place through the Russian family registry.
Pro-Russian media do not specify exactly where the child’s “new” parents live.
Recall that Russia uses its own «State Database of Orphans» to record Ukrainian children in the occupied territories. Russian legislation allows adopters to change children’s first names, last names, and even dates of birth.
As of March 2025 Russians illegally adopted 42 children from Kherson region.
