Residents of the occupied Ivanivska community in Kherson region report a critical situation with water supply. After the water pipeline scheme was changed by Russian municipal services, the system stopped functioning normally. Due to lack of pressure in the pipes, water supply in the settlements is completely or partially absent.
This is reported by pro-Russian media.
The situation is worsening with the start of seasonal agricultural work. In addition, local residents record numerous breaks in the repaired sections, through which water seeps into the ground.
Due to the specifics of loss accounting in the system, it is expected that the volumes of water lost as a result of accidents will be shifted by the occupation administration onto the civilian population in the form of higher utility bills.
Recall that in July 2025 occupation officials admitted that on the left bank of Kherson region there is a significant water shortage.
After the Russians blew up the Kakhovka HPP in 2023, the water supply situation on the left bank of the region is critical. For a while the occupation authorities did not acknowledge the impact of the dam’s destruction on water provision to the temporarily occupied left-bank territories of the region, but later the illegal governor of Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo nevertheless confirmed the existence of problems.
