Only by the evening was it possible to extinguish the fire that broke out as a result of the shelling of Kherson carried out by Russian military on 12 February 2026 at around 07:00.

It is reported that, despite witnesses saying there was a single strike, the consequences proved catastrophic.
As a result of the shelling, several private houses caught fire. Rescuers promptly began extinguishing the blaze, but they were only able to bring the flames under control by evening.
The homes sustained significant damage. Two people are known to have been injured during this hostile attack. Social workers of the Kherson City Military Administration provided those affected with the necessary consultations and planned priority measures to address the consequences of the shelling.
Recall, a 58-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman, who, while at home during that shelling, suffered blast injuries, concussions and an acute stress reaction, – medical workers.
