The government allocated 96 million UAH for the installation of net corridors on priority highways of the Kherson region.
This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.
“This is a matter of defense capability, rapid evacuation and the life support of communities and people,” the official said.
The money will be directed toward protecting roads used daily by civilians, military personnel and emergency response services.
“Anti-drone nets along the road protect people from Russian drone attacks and allow the transportation of humanitarian supplies,” Svyrydenko informed
She added that, as of now, 190 km of anti-drone nets have already been installed on roads using funds from the Kherson Regional Military Administration together with the Ministry of Defense.
It should be noted, according to the deputy head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, that fully covering all of Kherson with anti-drone nets in a short time is impossible due to the scale of the work and the difficulty of the conditions under which they must be carried out.
Meanwhile, in the Kherson region, 178 km of anti-drone nets have already been installed 178 km of anti-drone nets.
Recall that, according to Malyarchuk, the cost of one kilometer of anti-drone protection in the region has risen to about 1.8 million UAH.
