During the academic year, more than 19 thousand students studied in the Kherson community. The educational process was provided by 45 general secondary education institutions.

It is noted that this year almost 2,000 ninth-graders are completing basic secondary education, and more than 1,000 eleventh-graders are finishing school.
In addition, 363 graduates will receive certificates with honors. Among them are 162 eleventh-graders and 207 ninth-grade students.
“The geography of Kherson students today covers dozens of cities in Ukraine and various countries of the world — from Kyiv, Lviv and Odesa to Poland, Germany, France, Canada, the USA and Australia. And despite the distance, our children remain part of the Kherson educational family”, – the MCA said.
Note that in the Kherson community from September 1, 2026 49 early childhood education institutions will not operate. This concerns kindergartens, specialized child development centers and primary schools where preschool groups operated. Also, 17 schools and gymnasiums will cease to operate.
