Russian forces during May 2026 carried out more than 17,000 attacks using unmanned aerial vehicles and FPV drones on the Kherson direction. The occupiers also conducted 55 assault attacks on the Kherson direction, but all of them were repelled.
This was reported by the spokesman of the 30th Marine Corps of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Pavlo Drohal.
According to him, in the past month alone the Russian army carried out more than 2,000 strikes on positions and populated areas in southern Ukraine.
In addition, according to the marines, over the month Russian forces lost 157 servicemen killed and wounded, 382 units of vehicles and motorbikes, 34 artillery systems and two long-range observation stations.
Earlier it was reported that Russian forces are preparing for new assault operations on the islands in the Dnipro delta near Kherson.
