Disruption of Russian logistics in southern Ukraine will affect the supply of occupying forces in the Kherson direction.
This was stated by the head of the Reserve Council of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ivan Tymochko, in an interview with “Ukrainian Radio”.
According to him, severing logistical routes on the R-280 road and railway lines could cut Russian groupings in the areas of Mariupol, Berdyansk, Melitopol and on the Kherson front off from supplies.
“And this is a priority situation, because Crimea is now used by the enemy not only as occupied Ukrainian territory or as a territory from which they deploy aviation and try to hold ports. It is also the resources the enemy has accumulated to sustain its occupation garrison on the Kherson front, in Enerhodar, on the Orikhiv axis, and so on,” he noted.
Ivan Tymochko said that in the event of a further deterioration of logistics, Russian forces may face shortages of fuel, ammunition and other resources necessary to hold positions in the occupied part of Kherson region.
It was previously reported that due to strikes by Ukrainian forces the occupiers cannot deliver personnel, ammunition and equipment to forward positions on the left bank of the Kherson region.
