On the night of June 7 Ukrainian units struck the bridge in the Chonhar area in the temporarily occupied territory.
This was reported by the spokesman of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, commander of the volunteer formation “Odesa”, head of the Public Council at the Odesa RMA Serhiy Bratchuk.
It is noted that the operation was planned and carried out jointly by the Multidomain Operations Center «Фаланга» the 1st Separate Assault Regiment named after Dmytro Kotsyubaylo and the 475th Separate Assault Regiment «CODE 9.2».
During the operation, Fire Point systems and unmanned aerial vehicles «Begemot» were used.
The military note that the bridge in Chonhar is one of the key supply routes for Russian troops, ammunition, and fuel from temporarily occupied Crimea.
The operation used an approach that units call Frontstrike and Middlest rike — striking the enemy’s logistical and combat resources in the active combat zone.
Recall, the occupation governor of Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo showed the consequences of the strike on the bridge in Chonhar.
Earlier it was reported that at the end of May the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a number of strikes on the equipment of the occupation forces in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region. In particular, the land corridor to Crimea came under strikes.
In connection with this, occupation governor Volodymyr Saldo signed a decree on the temporary restriction of heavy vehicle traffic on route R-280 “Novorossiya”.
Earlier it also became known that in occupied Luhansk region passenger connections with Kherson region and Crimea were restricted.
