A farewell will be held in Vinnytsia for Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Daniil Kardash – a native of the village of Novopetrivka of the Nyzhniosirohozka community in the Kherson region.
This was reported by the Vinnytsia City Council.
Daniil Kardash twice voluntarily took up the defense of Ukraine. In 2015–2016 he participated in the ATO, and after the start of the full-scale invasion he again joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as part of the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Mstyslav the Brave, where he held the position of chief of the battalion’s personnel service.
For his service Daniil Kardash was awarded the President of Ukraine’s distinction “For the Defense of Ukraine”, the badge of honor “For Exemplary Service” and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine’s distinction “Military Cross”.
The serviceman died on June 7; he was 34 years old.
Before the full-scale war he worked as a lawyer at an agricultural enterprise in Novopetrivka. After the occupation of the village his relatives were forced to leave and found shelter in Vinnytsia.
It was previously reported that in Kherson they said farewell to the fallen Ukrainian serviceman Volodymyr Haiduk.
