At NATO headquarters in Brussels they displayed the word “Freedom” made from shelled letters from the name of a village in Kherson Oblast, which was initially occupied by Russia and later liberated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
This was reported by Radio Liberty.
“They symbolize our ability not only to defend our land, but also to reclaim it when we have the necessary resources,” said Ukraine’s representative to NATO Alona Hetmanchuk at a special ceremony at the headquarters dedicated to the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Note that the installation is made from the letters of the welcome sign of the village of Lyubymivka in Kherson region, which Ukrainian forces liberated from the occupiers in 2022.
