In Kherson, the “Social Protection” program for 2026-2028 was approved.
The order was signed by the head of the Kherson Military Administration, Yaroslav Shanko.
More than 144 million hryvnias are required to implement the three-year program.
The program provides targeted cash assistance, communication fee benefits, special payments for vulnerable groups of citizens, veterans and families of the deceased, and more.
Thus, benefits for subscription fees will be provided in the following amounts:
- 100%: families with two or more persons with visual disabilities.
- 50%: persons with visual impairment in Group I, children with disabilities under 18 years old, orphans and children deprived of parental care.
- 40%: persons with visual impairment in Group II.
The program provides cash assistance to members of public associations for the International Day of Older Persons, the Day of Persons with Disabilities and the Day of Honoring the Liquidators of the Chernobyl Accident (in the amount of 0.1 to 0.55 of the subsistence minimum). Special attention is paid to centenarians: residents who have turned 100 years or older will receive 3,000 UAH on their birthday.
In addition, the program states that community residents have the right to one-time targeted assistance during the year for undergoing complex treatment:
- 10,000 UAH — for inpatient treatment or surgeries for oncological diseases;
- 10,000 UAH — for heart and vascular surgeries;
- 10,000 UAH — for joint endoprosthesis (joint replacement);
- 5,000 UAH — for people with oncological diagnoses who have not undergone inpatient treatment.
The document also provides large-scale support to families of employees of city structures (executive bodies, municipal enterprises and institutions) who were killed or died as a result of injuries sustained while performing duties due to the Russian Federation’s military aggression.
The amount of the one-time assistance to family members is 500,000 hryvnias.
