Information about the alleged sentence of civilian prisoner Leonid Kondratsky from Nova Kakhovka does not correspond to reality. In fact the Russians sentenced his namesake by surname – prisoner of war Yuriy Kondratsky. Leonid Kondratsky himself has been in Russian captivity for over three years without any investigative actions or a trial.
This is reported by “IRС-Pivden” citing the words of Leonid Kondratsky’s daughter – Iryna.
According to her, Leonid Kondratsky is being held in the city of Kamyshin in Russia’s Volgograd region.
“My father is being held in the city of Kamyshin in Russia’s Volgograd region. Thanks to the guys who come out of Russian captivity, I manage to get at least a little information about him. The guys say that they themselves do not understand why the Russians are holding my father, since no “investigative actions” are taking place against him, there is no court sentence. Nothing is happening”, – said Iryna Lytvynenko.
Recently information appeared that Kondratsky was allegedly were sentenced for “terrorism”. However, as it turned out, on February 3, 2026 the Southern District Military Court of the RF issued a sentence to another person — a 31-year-old “Azov member” Yuriy Kondratsky, a native of Kherson. It was this information that was mistakenly spread as pertaining to Leonid Kondratsky from Nova Kakhovka.

Iryna Lytvynenko emphasized that her father has no procedural status in the RF. The family appealed to SIZO-2, where he is being held, as well as to the Russian Commissioner for Human Rights, but did not receive any answers about the reasons for his detention or the charges.
Leonid Kondratsky was abducted three times — in March, April and on October 7, 2022. At first the man was kept in occupied Crimea, where they tried to charge him with “international terrorism”. Since February 2023 he was transferred to Kamyshin. The grounds for his detention remain unknown.
According to his daughter, the man was beaten in captivity, in particular because of his patronymic — Adolfovych. The occupiers demanded that he renounce his father’s name.
