Russians claim that during 2025 more than 3,500 new mobile base stations were commissioned on the left bank of the Kherson region and other occupied territories of Ukraine.
This is written on the website of the region’s occupation administration, citing data from the Russian Ministry of Digital Development.
“The total number of such facilities, according to statements by the occupation authorities, exceeded 19.4 thousand, which is 22% more than at the end of 2024”, – the article says.
In the Russian Federation they claim that the construction of infrastructure «has entered the final stage», and by the end of the year they plan to bring the level of mobile coverage in the occupied territories to “at least 91%”.
According to residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region themselves, the quality of service and mobile internet remains low.
In January 2025 the illegal authorities stated that the quality of mobile communication on the left bank of Kherson region is allegedly satisfactory to 51% of residents.
