In the Kherson region, a regional program for perpetrators for 2027–2030 has been approved, aimed at preventing and combating domestic violence.
The order was signed by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
The document provides for working with people who have committed violence on the principles of cognitive-behavioral therapy to correct their behavior and foster humanistic values.
The corrective course is built on a combination of diagnostic, motivational, and corrective blocks.
The program includes diagnostic, individual, and group sessions during which specialists will work on changing destructive beliefs and developing non-violent communication skills.
It is expected that as a result of completing the program, participants will master conflict resolution methods, recognize responsibility for their actions, and learn to express their needs assertively.
Recall that in March this year the Department of Social Policy of the Kherson City Council, as part of the implementation of the Program for perpetrators, commissioned psychological services from a female doctor, who had been tried for domestic violence.
