On Ukrainian Volunteer Day in the Kochubeyivska community they honored the fallen defender of Ukraine, Volodymyr Heshko. His mother was presented with a posthumous state award.
This was reported by the head of the Beryslav District State Administration, Volodymyr Litvinov.
The family of the deceased received the Order “For Courage” III degree. Volodymyr Heshko was awarded for courage, bravery and selflessness during the defense of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The 36-year-old marine rifleman-sniper from Kherson region, Volodymyr Heshko, was killed on January 4, 2025 in Donetsk region while carrying out a combat mission.
It was previously reported that the deceased serviceman Vitaliy Holovatyi from the Velyka Oleksandrivka community was awarded the Order “For Courage” III degree (posthumously).
