In Kherson, Russian forces have begun to massively use a new type of anti-personnel mines — the so-called “pryaniki”, which are smaller than the previously used “petals” and pose a serious danger to civilians.
This was said on air by the deputy head of the Kherson OVA Oleksandr Tolokonnikov.
These mines are printed on a 3D printer and are filled with plastic explosive. Their size can range from 7 to 15 centimeters. The mine reacts to pressure over seven kilograms.
“If a person steps on it — they receive a traumatic amputation of a limb”, — Tolokonnikov emphasized.
In addition, in recent days Russian troops have begun dropping new mines on settlements on the right bank of Kherson region, which are mostly wrapped in rags. According to the official, these mines can react to magnetic fields, but they still need to be examined by the military.
Regional authorities urge residents of Kherson and the region not to approach suspicious objects closer than 30 meters, not to touch them or move them, and in case of discovery — to immediately call the numbers 101 or 102.
