Kherson MVA approved the Comprehensive Program for the Prevention of and Response to Domestic Violence and Gender-Based Violence for 2026–2028.
The order was signed by the head of the Kherson MVA, Yaroslav Shanko.
The main objectives of the program are “creating a network of accessible and high-quality services for survivors, in particular expanding the operation of shelters, crisis rooms, day centers and mobile teams”.
Within the 2026–2028 program, the community plans to conduct large-scale information campaigns to establish zero tolerance for violence and to eradicate discriminatory stereotypes. In addition, the creation of a “child-friendly” environment for working with minors who have experienced abuse is envisaged.
The implementation of the program’s activities will be financed from the budget of the Kherson MTG, as well as funds from enterprises, institutions, etc.
