The first memorials to the region’s civilian heroes will be created in Kherson and Chornobaivka.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
They note that practical work has begun on the project “Place of Remembrance for the Civilian Heroes of Kherson Region ‘Honor Each, Remember All'”.
The pilot phase will be implemented in Kherson and Chornobaivka. These communities will serve as platforms for testing the mechanisms for creating memorial sites.
Kherson sculptor and artist Ihor Balykov is working on the artistic design of the space. He presented to the group members the first drafts for visualizing the future place of remembrance.
After the first phase is completed, the experience of creating such spaces is planned to be extended to all other communities of the Kherson region.
Recall that in February this year, in the Novooleksandrivka community another location of the national project ‘Single Route through Places of Memory’ appeared.
