Under the Executive Committee of the Kherson City Council, a Coordinating Council was established to support civilians who were deprived of their personal liberty as a result of the armed aggression against Ukraine, their families, and the families of persons missing under special circumstances.
The corresponding order was signed by the head of the Kherson MCA, Yaroslav Shanko.
The body will operate as an advisory platform to engage the public in the implementation of state policy in the field of social protection.
The council’s main tasks are: providing proposals regarding the social protection of civilians who were held captive and their family members, ensuring victims’ access to medical and psychological assistance and social services, providing legal support and consultations, etc.
Roman Baklazhov, head of the charitable foundation “11 November”, was appointed chair of the Coordinating Council.
